Induction
It is policy for staff to make a home visit (or alternatively) and encourage
a Playgroup visit by both parent and child, prior to the child starting.
This is to introduce both the parent and child to the staff and the setting
and to answer any queries or questions.
Open
Afternoons
Each term the Playgroup opens for an afternoon so parents can come in
to look at their child's work (which is available to see at any time by
request), have a look around the Playgroup and find out about the curriculum.
Cost
Children not funded by Medway Council £5.00 per session. Please
ask staff for more information about Government Funding for children aged
3 years and upwards.
Keyworkers
Each child has a keyworker who is responsible for having contact with
parents, writing daily diaries and checking that the child's needs are
met. Keyworkers are available to speak to the parents after every session.
Monday Afternoons
Monday afternoons are special sessions for 4 year olds
in preparation for moving to school. Children join this group the term
before starting school and take part in more age-focussed activities.
